Can you custom make me a piece?

Yes! In fact, these are my favourite pieces to make. You are limited only by our imagination. Tell me what you have in mind. Show me pictures, colour swatches, anything you like. If you are after an identical piece - you won't find us creating this, as we prefer to be given inspiration and then the creative freedom to custom make your artwork.

What are your terms and conditions for making custom art pieces?


Art is subjective - and by this, we mean that each person views pieces of art and has their own experience with how they perceive it. For this reason I am protective of my own artwork, and other artists' work. I take every care to stick to your brief - that is, the colour palette you have chosen, the material, and the final format.
However I cannot be held responsible for change of mind, or change of brief - once you have signed off on the final creative brief, there is no going back, your artwork is now locked in and you are at the mercy of our creative souls.

If you are unhappy with the quality of your piece, the colour pallette differs substantially from the original brief, or, the materials and final format has not been delivered as per the creative brief, you will have the right to a refund (see below), once the item has been returned to Funky Bitz and confirmed as received in it's original condition.

What is your refund policy?
When you buy from Funky Bitz, you can be assured that our refund policy mirrors that of the ACCC. So many times I have purchased from a retailer only to be told that they do not give refunds for faulty products or products not as described (or worse yet, sale items - which is so illegal!). It is because of this reason that I choose to ensure my customers know they are entitled to a refund. The only thing this does not cover is change of mind - refunds are not required for this reason under Australian consumer law. Please see here for the full terms of the ACCC refund policy, in which I abide by wholeheartedly. 
What do I do if I want a refund/return/replacement/store credit?
Where possible, I will attempt to fix your product. As you know, all pieces from Funky Bitz are unique one-of-a-kind pieces, so a replacement of the exact same piece is impossible. You can choose to be refunded in full, receive store credit, or, to have your product fixed (where I advise if this is possible).

Are your resin homeware pieces food safe?

Epoxy resin is completely cured after 7 days, after which it becomes stable and inert. I use a high quality epoxy resin product and pigments, which are always measured correctly and cured within the right temperature and climate.

All pieces that feature on Funky Bitz sit for a curing time of approximately 14 days or more before they are posted on our website, to ensure that they are compliant with manufacture curing times.

Is resin scratch resistant?

In short, no. You cannot use a knife, or cut on resin. Therefore please take note of our care instructions - which you can read here.

Are these pieces Australian made?

Yes! I don't outsource my art pieces, they are made right here in Queensland, Australia. Although, I am a kiwi... Maybe these pieces are 'Kiwi made in Australia'?


Can I pick my order up?

Unfortunately at this time pick-up of orders is unavailable.

Where do you ship to?

Shipping is currently available in Australia and New Zealand. Shipping prices are calculated at the check-out and are based on weight and volume. Some pieces are bulky to send and are charged at a higher rate, but you will always know the price as it is automated at the check-out. I choose to send my products with Sendle, rather than Australia Post.

 

Do you offer express shipping?

Express post shipping is only offered for small parcels through Australia Post. Orders are dispatched 1 day after ordering and are delivered the following day.

 

Where are products shipped from?

Products are shipped from Cornubia, 4130. 

 

How long will my product take to arrive?

In general, same-city deliveries arrive overnight and deliveries to nearby cities within 2-3 days. Though very speedy, Sendle does not currently offer an express or guaranteed overnight delivery service.

Deliveries to New Zealand take on average between 4-6 days to arrive.

 

Can I track my order?

Do you have a physical store?

At this stage no, I do not have a physical store.
